About the Journal

JISCS – Indonesian Journal of Islamic Communication and Social Science is an academic journal dedicated to the development and dissemination of scholarly research in the fields of Islamic Communication, Da'wah, and Social Science. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, scholars, academics, practitioners, and students to publish and discuss theoretical, empirical, and conceptual studies concerning communication, da'wah, and socio-religious phenomena in contemporary Muslim societies.

IJISCS seeks to establish meaningful connections between Islamic perspectives, communication studies, da'wah studies, and the social sciences. The journal recognizes Islamic communication and da'wah not merely as processes of religious message delivery, but also as complex social, cultural, organizational, and technological phenomena that continuously evolve in response to societal transformation.

The journal particularly welcomes scholarly works that examine the development of Islamic communication and da'wah in contemporary contexts, including interpersonal communication, group communication, organizational communication, public communication, mass communication, media studies, digital communication, and social media.

In response to the rapid development of information and communication technologies, IJISCS places particular emphasis on emerging issues related to digital da'wah and Islamic communication in the digital era. These include digital preaching, social media da'wah, Islamic communication through digital platforms, religious content creation, digital religious literacy, Muslim digital culture, Islamic influencers, online religious communities, and the transformation of da'wah practices through technological innovation.

The journal also welcomes studies addressing broader social and religious issues related to Muslim communities, including community empowerment, social transformation, intercultural communication, religious moderation, Islamic organizations, da'wah management, leadership, social behavior, religious communication, and contemporary socio-religious dynamics.

Through the publication of high-quality scholarly works, IJISCS aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic Communication, Da'wah, and Social Science while providing academically grounded insights into contemporary communication and socio-religious challenges.
